Partial All That Glitters Inventory by Location/Case Number

The following images represent cases where some of the All That Glitters Inventory is stored/maintained. Since we have approximately 5000 gemstones available at any time, only a small percentage have been photographed. Many remain unphotographed. We have decided to photograph a few cases of gemstones which will allow our customers to view these cases where some of the items have been photographed and will appear on their species page on our website, but many may only appear in our Inventory Lists (text files by individual gemstones with descriptions and no photographs - Inventory Text Lists). Though these photos of the gemstones in their cases have been taken, it is very difficult (actually impossible) to obtain accurate colors at times and certainly though the gems may be brilliant, a slight tilt of the gem in the case or not having the light directly overhead will appear to show a gem that is not as brililant as if photographed separately. Please keep this in mind. If the item is in the All That Glitters Inventory, 99% of the time it has met our criteria for size for that species, color, cutting, clarity and price. (Some gemstones faceted from the rough have been disappointing after being faceted - and some never made it through cutting! We do our best to describe an item when a customer (retail/wholesale trade) makes an inquiry. Hope you find these images of interest and enjoy the wide variety of color, shapes and sizes...

The Cat's Eye Chrysoberyl and Blue Star Sapphire, require overhead lights such as incandescents in order to see their phenomenon properly and to full effect - but they were chosen for their color, clarity and phenomenon when purchased for the addition in to the All That Glitters Inventory!

Each row has 5 gemstones and there are 3 rows. The location number indicates where in the case that particular gemstone is to be found. For example, location #20/3,3, indicates row 3/column 3 - in this case, it is a Corundum, specifically a Blue Sapphire (Trilliant) with Flashes of Green! A shame that not every gemstone can be captured perfectly when shooting, as the brilliance may not show if it is just tilted slightly, and one cannot truly see the high polish on these gems...of course, color rendition due to the codecs being used on all the different portable devices makes it diffficult for true color reproduction as the eye actually sees...(#20 is a case/box number)
